Want to join? Here's what you need to know.
For 2010-2011, our troop is open to ALL girls who will be in 2nd grade at Cedar Ridge Elementary. We're already registering for the fall, so don't delay. Spaces are filled on a first-come, first-serve basis.
Our troop will be meeting two Sunday late afternoons a month. Please note that our troop is very active. We try to take a field trip every month. We also participate in many Council and Service Unit events. We recognize that families have busy schedules, so these events are always optional. However, your daughter will take more away from the Girl Scout experience by participating whenever possible.
Please understand that our troop is 100% volunteer run and parents play a very active role. As a troop parent, you will be expected to occasionally help at meetings and chaperone events. Parents are also asked to hold a troop job.

Fees
GSUSA annual registration fee: $12 per girl and adult volunteer
The Girl Scout year runs from October 1 thru September 30.
Troop dues: Troop dues cover meeting costs and awards. At the start of the new school year, we will collect a start up fee of $20 from each girl. Additional fees will be collected for field trips and special events. We aim to keep these costs reasonable. You'll find that the cost of an entire year of Girl Scouts is a bargain when compared to other extra-curricular activities.
Note: No girl will ever be turned away for an inability to pay. Confidential financial assistance is always available.
New Brownie Shopping List
Please do not purchase anything until you and your daughter have registered! The following list is provided to give you an idea of cost.
Our uniform is the Brownie vest or sash. Most girls chose the vest since more patches will fit on them. To complete the traditional uniform, you will need:
- Troop numbers - 935
- Flag patch
- Our council patch
- Brownie insignia tab
- Brownie pin
- Brownie - Journey Quest patch set (do not sew this on yet)
