Our troop is supported by two sets of BSA registered adult volunteers: our Scoutmaster and his Assistants; and our Committee. We encourage all parents to register with the BSA and help in any capacity that they can. When you register, you are asked to indicate whether you would like to be a Committee Member or Assistant Scoutmaster.
It is not necessary to be a registered adult in order to participate in any BSA activity, and both men and women are welcome in any role.

powwow @t777.org
The Scoutmaster, Assistant Scoutmasters (ASMs), and Mentors are responsible for working with the boys to execute our program. They provide their leadership and talents to scouts at troop meetings, service projects, treks, and other events. We encourage our ASMs to take part in the BSA ASM training program and in the High Adventure Leader Trek Training (HALTT) program.
This group meets at 7pm on the first Wednesday of every other month, usually at the Scoutmaster's home, to plan for upcoming activities. These meetings are called Powwows, and any interested adult is welcome to attend.

committee @t777.org
The Troop Committee's role is to support the troop and the Scoutmasters by acting as a "board of directors" for the troop. The various positions shown within the Committee are the larger roles, however many other roles are possible. In addition, members of the Committee conduct Boards of Review for every advancing scout.
The Committee meets on the last Monday of every month during the regular troop meeting. We have several members who are looking for their replacements, and all parents are welcome to attend any Committee meeting.

mentors @t777.org
The mentors are responsible for working with the scouts in leadership positions (TLC) to help the scout understand the responsibilities of his assigned position, to help set goals for their term in position, to provide support and guidance as needed in the position, and to sign-off on the position as required for advancing scouts.
Each mentor meets with his assigned scout for the first twenty minutes of each TLC meeting.
