Girl Scouting is all about doing good deeds for the benefit of others. Listed below are only a few of the service projects St. Peter Girl Scouts have complete this year. I commend them, their parents and their leaders for reinforcing this core value of selfless service.

  • All St. Peter Girl Scout Troops participate each year in the "Trunk N Treat" event in October. The girls go door to door passing out flyers, return a week later to collect the donated food items, and then deliver them to the Samaritan Center.
  • 7th grade Girl Scout Troop 30287 earned the Silver Award, the highest honor for the Cadette level. The girls are not only providing service to their community but also to the Girl Scout troops here at St. Peter. The girls have spent many hours planning events and mentoring our younger scouts. I am so proud of these girls! Below is an article from the News Tribune recognizing this troop and details what they have  done to earn their award. http://www.newstribune.com/news/2013/apr/27/girls-scouts-working-complete-silver-award/
