A Little About Our Pack

Cub Scout Pack 108

Cub Scout Pack 108 serves boys in Kdg-5th grade in the community of Oxford.  Our Packs youth comes out of Clear Lake Elementary school primarily, but all cub scout age boys are welcome.

Pack 108 is an active group of scouts, chartered through American Legion Walter Fraser Post 108.  Cub Scouts is a family driven program. All of our activities are family based.  We support several service projects to give back to the community of Oxford.  As an active Cub Scout pack, our volunteer leadership is here to teach our youth about character, community, and to guide them along the path through Boy Scouts following the Boy Scout Law, Motto, and Oath.

How Does Cub Scouting Work?

One unique thing about Cub Scouting is that you, as his family, join in on the program with your son, and you will help him along the way.  The family is the basis of Cub Scouting.  It exists to support your family and help enrich your family time together.  Boys have a different handbook at each grade level, with suggested activities that are age-appropriate for their developmental level.  As your boy advances through these books by working on activities with you, he will earn badges and other recognition that he can wear on his uniform. Your son’s success in Cub Scouting depends on you!

The Cub Scouting program takes place at two levels.

First, your son will be a part of a a small group of boys in the same grade level called a Den, who normally meet twice a month.
All dens, from grades Kindergarten through 5th, make up a pack.

Second, once a month, all the dens, with their families, come together at the Pack meeting, where boys will learn Cub Scout core values through games and activities.  Present things they have done as a Den, and receive rank achievements and patches they have earned over the course of the month.
