Camping at a Scout Camp:
Camp Dittmer of Iroquois Trail Council is RIGHT AROUND the corner from Midlakes High School, like 2-3 miles.  It has cabins and tent sites.  PLEASE contact Iroquois Trail Council to make the campsite arrangements.  There is an additional fee that is between your Troop and Iroquois Trail Council.  MBA is just making it known there is a place close by if you want to make a weekend of ScOUTING.

Other Campground Recommendations:  Drawback is you need to ask if they are open as most close Oct 15th.  Be sure to mention you are a Scout group and ask about group rates.
Junius Ponds - (for tents and cabin)   Junius Ponds is right off the Thruway and is nice clean place
Canandaigua KOA - (for tents and cabin)   Canandaigua KOA I hear has a nice unique obstacle course Scouts love.
Seneca Lake State Park - (for tents only)   Right on the lake.

For Hotels:
Victor NY:  If coming Thruway 90 West (exit 45) as everything is at that exit: food, mall and etc.  It is right on Route 96.  Expect a 15-20 minutes drive in the morning east on 96.

Henrietta NY:  If coming up Route 15/ Route 390. Henrietta has food. mall, hotels (cheap to expensive because of 4 colleges), a couple of parks to check out and more.  Great place to stop on a late Friday night drive and wake up early for Saturday's event.  Its better drive over during the day so you can see where you're going.  You can easily connect to Manchester exit 43 from Henrietta exit 46 via Thruway 90. Expect to drive another hour - 45 minutes in the morning.

Geneva NY:  If coming up Routes 81 or 86 to Route 14.  Geneva has the old village and the new town within its college town.  In the morning drive north on Route 14 and connect to Route 96 west.  Expect to drive another hour - 45 minutes in the morning through farm lands and small towns.

Unique places:
Clifton Spring is a UNIQUE town out of the old days. Think Hot Springs town!   I'm not sure about hotels and their conditions.  Cliftons Springs is in back of Route 96 (South of Route 96) so its OFF the beaten trail.

If you are looking for something special or we missed something you think should be on here, please email us at Seneca.MBA@gmail.com.  We welcome questions too as you make your plans as we are HELPFUL.

THANKS!
