Joining Cub Scouts

What is Cub Scouting?
Cub Scouting is a year-round family program designed for boys and girls in Kindergarten through fifth grade (or 5-10 years of age). Cub Scouts learn valuable lessons by engaging in fun activities like camping, hiking, exploring, building, racing, and fishing (see past Pack 16 events under "Parent Information" below). Your Cub Scout will also participate in monthly Pack and weekly Den meetings, go on outings and field trips, take part in service projects to help the community, and attend the annual Blue and Gold Banquet! Cub Scouts earn awards for achievements, including physical, academic, and character development activities. Cub Scouting instills values, offers a variety of learning experiences, helps boys and girls build friendships, self-confidence, and learn social skills.

How do I sign up?
For more information, or to join Pack 16, please contact our Cubmaster, Zach Brown, or use the "Contact Our Pack" link above. Currently, sign-up is in person or online. We recommend that you and your child stop by one Wednesday evening at 7pm to see if scouting is right for your family.

How can I become an adult volunteer in Cub Scouting?
There are many roles to be filled in each Pack, and adult help is always appreciated. Ask your Pack leaders where they could use a hand. Jobs range from large (Cubmaster) to small (Adult help at fundraisers) and every bit counts to provide a great program for these youth.

Scouts earn different types of awards as they work toward achieving each rank. Cub Scouts can also earn awards for their Den and Pack!
