HELPFUL HINTS:
  • Zip-Lock bags to store clothing items and Scout Book so they stay dry 
  • Layer your clothing and be sure they are not too tight
  • Use polypropylene, wool or gore-tex clothing items because they wick the moisture away from your body - cotton is not a good insulator and if wet chills you quickly
  • Change clothing before you go to bed - never wear clothing that you have walked around camp in - they has moisture on them and will chill you in your sleeping bag
