How does participation in Cub Scouting affect participation in other activities?
The Cub Scout program is designed to compliment many other extracurricular activities. Typical time commitment is two or three Den meetings
and one Pack meeting per month. Boys who participate in organized sports like soccer, baseball, basketball, swimming, gymnastics, etc,
or academic-based extracurricular activities like music, art, science etc., can be recognized for these activities though Cub Scout belt
loops and pins which are worn on their uniform.
How much does scouting cost?
The yearly membership for Pack 182 is $100.00. This fee covers the national membership dues, a year's subscription to Boys Life
magazine, rank and advancement awards, insurance for pack activities, and administrative expenses such as bank and postal accounts.
Our pack also participates in a Fall Popcorn Sale to supplement various activities and events. Boys must purchase their scout uniform
separately. Some events require an additional fee (i.e., Scout Night with the Columbus Clippers and Columbus Crew, Summer Day
Camp, Bowling at Rule3).
