Scouting is FUN WITH A PURPOSE.

Cub Scouts complete age appropriate / specific requirements in order to earn their ranks.  The Cub Scout Ranks are as follows:
  • 1st Grade:  Tiger
  • 2nd Grade:  Wolf
  • 3rd Grade:  Bear
  • 4th & 5th Grade:  Webelos
In addition to helping the Scouts grow through the completion of their rank requirements, we believe in making sure that the Scouts have fun.  In line with this our unit holds or participates in a variety of activities which include:
  • Derbies:  Raingutter Regatta (Fall) & Pinewood Derby (Feb)
  • BSA Council Camping:  Fun with Son (Oct), Webelos Winter Camp (Dec), District Day Camp (June), Resident Camp (Summer),
  • Sporting Events:  Dynamo (Fall), Rockets (Winter), Astros (Spring/Summer)
  • Entertainment:  Monster Jam (Jan), Nuclear Cowboys (April)
  • Outdoor Events:  Fishing, Cook Outs, Unit Camping (Whenever the Weather is Nice!!!)
Our unit is also active in the local community and participates in:
  • Scouting for Food (Jan/Feb)
  • Ed White Elementary Spring Carnival (March)
  • Trash Bash (March)
  • Spring Work Days at Ed White Elementary (April)
  • Seabrook 4th of July Celebration (July)
  • Fall Work Days at Ed White Elementary (Sept / Oct)
In addition, our unit periodically hikes the Seabrook trail system and picks up trash as part of BSA 'Leave No Trace'.
