Venture Crew 242 is the first Crew in the nation to consist entirely of American Heritage Girls! Our Crew is dedicated to adventure, leadership and service.

Crew 242 was established to provide older American Heritage Girls in the Louisville area access to the Boy Scouts of America High Adventure program.  The Crew 242 Venturing program is intended to supplement the American Heritage Girls program by providing unique opportunities for high adventure, service and leadership.  Crew 242 members continue to participate in their American Heritage Girl troop and work towards completion of their Stars and Stripes award.

Crew 242 membership is open to Patriot level girls in AHG from Louisville area troops. The minimum age for joining is 13 and completion of 8th grade.  Girls may remain as active youth members until they turn 21.
