About Us

The Boy Scouts of America (BSA) exists to prepare young people to make ethical and moral choices over their lifetimes by instilling in them the values of the Scout Oath and Law. Troop 152 was formed officially in 1994. Since then, scouts of Troop 152 have gone camping, earned many merit badges, and achieved the rank of Eagle Scout. Our troop is part of the Lincoln Trail District of the Lincoln Heritage council.

PURPOSE
Troop 152 is dedicated to fostering the growth of boys into young men by giving them the opportunity to develop good basic values; to learn about leadership and how to be a good follower; to practice organizational skills and teamwork; to become self-reliant; and to feel the pleasure of individual accomplishment through a program of group outdoor activities.

PARENT RESPONSIBILITIES
The key to the success of Troop 152 is the active involvement of the parents. By providing the foundation and back-up support to the troop, the Scoutmaster and his/her Assistants can concentrate on working with the scouts. Each parent is encouraged to participate in some way with our troop.  They can serve on the Troop Committee, become Assistant Scoutmasters, participate in outdoor activities, help with fundraisers, or assist when and where necessary. Don't wait to be asked! Volunteer in a way that is most compatible with your interests and availability.

ELIGIBILIY
The Troop is open to all boys who are 10+ and have completed 5th grade, or have earned the arrow of light award from cub scouts. Boys who are 11 are also eligible to join.  All boys may remain in the Troop until age 18.

OUR CHARTERED ORGANIZATION
Our troop is sponsored by the North Hardin Veterans of Foreign Wars (VFW) Post 10281, Vine Grove, KY.
