History
Pack 90 Celebrates 60 Years in 2014!
Cub Scout Pack 90 is based in Litchfield Park, Arizona and has a long history in the area. According to our Charter, we have been continuously registered since January, 1960 through a Wigwam Resort affiliate until 2011 when we were chartered by the Litchfield Park Scout Lodge Preservation, Inc. group. Before 1960, our Pack was chartered by various other local organizations since its inception on February 19, 1954. At the end of the 2002-2003 school year, our pack was so big, it split into Pack 90 and Pack 990. We use the Scout Hut as our headquarters, along with Boy Scout Troops (90 and 99), and the Girl Scouts. The Scout Hut was donated to the youth groups of Litchfield Park on January 30, 1954 by Paul and Florence Litchfield. If you look closely, you can see their picture to the left of the deer in the graphics at the top of this page. The inscription on the plaque above their picture on the fire place in the Scout Hut reads:
"GOODYEAR FARMS
DEDICATES THE USE OF THIS BUILDING
TO THE YOUTH YOUTH OF TODAY
THE AMERICA OF TOMORROW
P.W. LITCHFIELD. 1954"
Current Pack Status
We currently have 80+ registered boys in 8 Dens: 2 Tiger (1st Graders),1 Wolf (2nd Graders), 2 Bear (3rd Graders), 2 Webelos I (4th Graders), and 1 Webelos II (5th Graders). Our leadership group consists of one or two leaders for each den, and a Pack Committee. Our scouts attend the following schools: Barbara Robey, Corte Sierra, Great Hearts Academy, Dreaming Summit, Litchfield, Luke, Palm Valley, Scott Libby, Trinity Lutheran, Sunset Ridge, Arizona Virtual Academy, and Verrado School.
