Our pack is chartered out of David Smith Elementary and is one of the oldest Cub Scout Packs in the Nation (over 70 years and counting)! Pack 39 is a member of the Simon Kenton Council within the Delaware District. We invite all boys who attend school from 1st to 5th grade to join our pack. Family focused scouting is the experience we try to bring each of our scouts.
Scouting is Fun with a Purpose: to raise boys who respect themselves and others, and who have strong character. There is no better youth leadership or community service training than Scouting.
How We're Organized
Our pack currently has about 20 boys organized by dens.
Each den optimally has 6 to 8 boys of the same grade level. Dens are a great way to make and stay in touch with friends. Boys may join at any time in any grade - it's never a bad time to join!
- 1st graders are in Tiger Cub dens
- 2nd graders are in Wolf dens
- 3rd graders are in Bear dens
- 4th and 5th graders are in Webelos dens

Leadership
Cub Scouts need leaders. We need volunteers at every level of the pack to help us continue to provide fun and exciting activities and events for our scouts. Please consider volunteering your time to not only help grow your scout but his friends and fellow scouts, as well.
