About our Pack

MEETINGS

Our Pack has most of it's meetings at Sni-A-Bar Elementary.  However there are always field trips and "Go-See-It's" to be had.  An important part of Scouting is that the boys get out and see different places in their community.

Den Meetings are usually held the 1st and 3rd weeks of the month.  Each Den Leader will determine what day and time works best for that Den.

Pack Meetings are held the 2nd week of the month and are a chance for all of the Dens to come together, be recognized for their hard work, and have some fun.

EVENTS

There will be several events throughout the Scouting year that the Pack will participate in.

Some of these include:

Pinewood (or Lego!) Derby
Blue & Gold Celebration
Parades
Community Service Projects
Memorial & Veterans Day Ceremonies
Scouting For Food
Harvester's volunteering
and many more....

FUNDS

It does take some money to provide the boys with a fun and rewarding program.  We fund our Pack a couple different ways.

Registration/Recharter Fees are set by the Council and Boy Scouts of America.  These fees are what we pay to be registered as Scouts.

Pack Dues are collected to help the Den Leaders pay for materials involved in projects and crafts.  They also pay for some of the costs involved with all the various awards the boys earn.

Historically our Pack collects $70 per boy that covers both the council fees and annual dues together for the whole year.

Fundraisers:  Here's the great part. The boys can earn all that money themselves to pay their way through Scouting!  We do a couple fundraisers throughout the year when the boys will have an opportunity to build up their individual "Scout Accounts".  The money they accumulate in their Scout Accounts can be used to pay for any of the fees listed above, fees for different council events or camps, and even items needed from the Scout Shop.
