Cub Scout Pack 3449

Welcome to the online home of Cub Scout Pack 3449 located in Overland Park, KS and graciously chartered by the Lakewood Elementary School Parent Teacher Organization on November 11, 1999. We are a chartered unit of the Boy Scouts of America® Heart of America Council in the Soaring Eagle District. We typically have between 30 and 40 scouts; so as packs go, we are on the larger side! Please explore our site to learn more about scouting, its value to youth, the people who volunteer for us, and how you can become a part of our scouting family.

If you're a current scout parent, log in to find more information about the pack and events.

You can also find more on the Pack 3449 Facebook page! *Please remember...Per BSA rules, we are not allowed to "tag" or "name" or in any way "identify" the scouts/minors...please help us keep them all safe!

Not a current scout parent?  Come to one of our Pack or Den meetings to find out more and sign up.  You can also click "Contact our Pack" above to get more information.

Parents: We strongly encourage all parents to obtain Youth Protection Training! https://my.scouting.org ---create a free account, log in, go to e-learning, take YPT, print certificate, and bring to the Committee Chair for the Pack records.

Uniforms, Patches, and Accessories: These are available at the Scout Shop located at 10210 Holmes Road in Kansas City, Missouri. Their phone number is 816-942-7757, and they will be happy to assist you. For a real treat, take a drive with your son and visit the wonderful Scout Shop. In addition to uniforms, they carry everything you see in the Scout Catalog (http://www.scoutstuff.org) and then some. Enjoy the time spent there! Your son will love it!

Patches: Not sure where to place those patches and pins? Scouting.org has a Tiger Cub, Cub Scout, and Webelos Scout Insignia Guide for uniform standards. *Don't have a sewing machine? Don't know how to sew? Well Tailor at 14533 Metcalf Ave can do it for you. Their number is 913-685-8883.

In addition to the above Pack events, Pack 3449 scouts participate in other trips within their Dens.   Each Den consists of 6-12 scouts of the same grade.  Our first year scouts are Tiger Cubs which are first graders.  The second graders are Wolves, third graders are Bears, and fourth and fifth graders are Webelos.  Pack 3449 is lucky to have great scouts, actively involved parents and great leaders, which results in a lot of fun at every event!

In addition to having fun, our scouts also serve the community by assisting the community through food drives for the less fortunate, local park clean ups, visiting at local retirement centers, participating in community events such as Memorial and Veterans' Day and other service projects.
