We are a Boy-Led Troop

Sir Robert Baden-Powell, the founder of the World Scouting Movement, once said that a Scoutmaster should "Never do anything a boy can do".  We take this seriously.  Our entire program is run with Baden-Powell's admonition in mind! The Boy Scout model is to be "Boy Led / Adult Guided". Here, the Scouts are in charge and make the decisions about weekly/monthly agendas and choosing our monthly camping destinations. Adult leaders provide guidance, support, and a safe environment that allows boys to fully experience what it means to be a "boy scout".

Please feel free to explore our site and learn more about our program.

Good Scouts Make Great Men

The mission of the Boy Scouts of America is to prepare young boys to make ethical and moral choices over their lifetimes by instilling in them the values of the Scout Oath, Law, Motto, and Slogan.

Scout Oath:
On my honor, I will do my best
To do my duty to God and my country
and to obey the Scout Law;

 To help other people at all times;
 To keep myself physically strong,
 mentally awake, and morally straight.

Scout Law:
A Scout is trustworthy, loyal, helpful, friendly,
courteous, kind, obedient, cheerful, thrifty,
brave, clean, and reverent.

Scout Motto:
Be Prepared!

Scout Slogan:
Do a Good Turn Daily!

Following 106 Years of Scouting Tradition
