Welcome to Sea Scout Ship 212

Founded on September 25, 2009, we are a newer Sea Scout Unit in the Stafford County area. Our sponsoring organization is the Aquia Harbor Yacht Club located at the end of Washington Street in Aquia Harbor. Our unit name is the RUNNERs.

We meet on the 2nd and 4th Tuesday of each month between 7:00 pm and 8:30 pm at the Yacht Club or designated place. We also have a Quarterdeck meeting on the first Tuesday of each month. We go on monthly outings that include sailing on our flagship, a 35'; Pearson sailboat and our racing sailboats. We also plan annually to go on a long cruise during the summer.

We are actively recruiting new co-ed members between 14 and 20. We have a recruiting poster in the files section.

Ship 212 in the News

This past weekend, Ship 212 attended the 2016 Catoctin Winter Sea Scout Training. At the event, it was announced that Ship 212 was the recipient of the coveted Catoctin Cup.The Catoctin Cup was created as a unit award to promote unit pride, participation in the weekend events, and social interaction between the ships attending the  event.

Please join me in congratulating all of our sea scouts and adults who attended the training this past weekend and represented our ship so well!
