Welcome to Troop 406

South Huntington/Melville/Huntington Station

    • Troop 406 has been chartered by the Group of Citizens since we opened our doors in 1966.
    • We meet at Maplewood School located at 19 School Lane, Huntington Station, NY 11746.
    • Troop Meetings are every Wednesday and begin promptly at 7:30 pm and end at 9:00 pm.
    • Committee Meetings are held on the first Wednesday of the month and begin at 7:45 pm.
    • Troop 406 participates in an active outdoor program, camping on a monthly basis, and going to week long resident camp every summer at Baiting Hollow.

    Mission Statement

The goal of Troop 406 is to provide a Scouting program that is balanced and focused on the boys in the troop.  We provide a program that is safe, fun, entertaining, and informative. The program provides the recognition of personal achievement and positively encourages every boy to “Be Prepared.”  Our Uniformed Leaders and Troop Committee strive to provide a program that prepares the scouts for not only what might be required in scouting or a campout, but to be prepared for life as an adult.
