Pack 402, located in Manistique Michigan, is chartered by the Zion Lutheron Church. We typically have between 45 and 60 scouts; so as packs go, we are on the larger side!

Each Den consists of 6-12 scouts of the same grade. Tiger scouts, being first graders, are the youngest. Second graders are Wolves, third graders are Bears, and fourth and fifth graders are Webelos. Pack 402 is lucky to have great scouts and great leaders, which results in a lot of fun at every event!

Ranks and Grades:
  •  Tiger - First Grade
  •  Wolf - Second Grade
  •  Bear - Third Grade
  •  Webelos I - Fourth Grade

  •  Webelos II - Fifth Grade

CubScouting...
...is a fun, family program designed to promote character, fitness, and citizenship in boys in the first through fifth grades. Cub Scouting seeks to help parents foster boys' self-esteem and teach cooperation and leadership through games, crafts, sports, skill building, recognition, and other fun activities. Cub Scouting is a family program. The values that Cub Scouting strives to instill are based on those found in the Cub Scout Promise and the Law of the Pack:

Cub Scout Promise
I promise to do my best
To do my duty to God and my country,
To help other people, and
To obey the Law of the Pack.

Law of thePack
The Cub Scout follows Akela.
The Cub Scout helps the Pack go.
The Pack helps the Cub Scout grow.
The Cub Scout gives goodwill.

The Cub Scout Motto
Do Your Best

Doing his best is one of the most important things for the Cub Scout to learn. Boys often become so interested in winning that they fail to see the importance of doing the best they can at everything. One boy's best might be quite different from another boy's best. Cub Scouting teaches boys that no one can find fault with them if they always do their best.
