Cub Scout Pack 117 (Okinawa, Armed Forces Pacific) Homepage


Pack 117 is open to all 8 Year old through 5th grade boys in the Camp Butler, Okinawa area. We are in the Asia Central District of the Far East Council (FEC) of the Boy Scouts of America (BSA) program. Our Cub Scouts mainly attend Zukeran Elementary School of the Okinawa District aboard Marine Corps Base Camp Foster, Okinawa. We are chartered by the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints Futenma Serviceman's Branch and have been continuously active for 20 years.
Our Pack has about 10 to 20 boys organized by Dens. Each Den usually has 3 to 8 boys of the same grade level. Dens are a great way to make and stay in touch with friends. Boys may join at any grade, whether or not they've been scouts before. 2nd graders are in Wolf Dens 3rd graders are in Bear Dens 4th graders are in Webelos I Dens 5th graders are in Arrow of Light Dens
Our Pack Leadership is made up of parent volunteers who have sons in our program. There are no paid personnel running our Pack; therefore, we need parents like yourself to help run this great group of boys! Pack 117 is NOT Exclusive - We welcome boys and families of all races, ethnic groups, and religious backgrounds. Pack 117 is NOT Day Care - Your family will need to attend all events and be active in our Pack. We need you to watch your own children so we can focus on the safety of the boys. Our activities are family, parents/son oriented and most events welcome other siblings. Everyone is expected to "Help Pack 117 Go!"
