Welcome!
We are
Cub Scout Pack 5
of the Boy Scouts of America
Crawfordville, FL
Pack 5 is Chartered by the Crawfordville United Methodist Church located at 176 Ochlochonee St in Crawfordville. We are part of the Aucilla District in the Suwanne River Area Council. Our Pack is open to all boys from all elementary and home schools within Wakulla County.
Our pack enjoys many activities including camp outs, community service and fun events for the boys and their families. We have had campouts to Wild Adventures, Yogi Bear Campground in Madison, USS Alabama, USS Yorktown, Marianna Caverns at Marianna State Park, camping on the infield at Daytona Raceway as well as other campgrounds. The Pinewood Derby and the Blue and Gold Banquet are highlighted activities that the Cubs look forward to, as well as family picnics and more!
There is a reason for everything boys do in Cub
Scouting. Apart from the fun and excitement, the aim of Cub Scouting is
to help boys grow into good citizens who are strong in character and
personally fit. This is why we say that Cub Scouting is fun with a
purpose.
Cub Scouting is a year-round, family-oriented part of the Boy Scouts of America program designed for boys who are in first through fifth grades (or are 7, 8, 9, and 10 years of age). Parents, leaders, and organizations work together to achieve the 10 purposes of Cub Scouting:
Character Development
Spiritual Growth
Good Citizenship
Sportsmanship and fitness
Family Understanding
Respectful Relationships
Personal Achievement
Friendly Service
Fun and Adventure
Preparation for Boy Scouts
All of these things are accomplished in a safe yet exciting and fun environment that will help you and your son share in his personal development and growth! Cub Scouting is simply the most fun that you and your son can participate in together while learning about your community and the world around you!
