Troop 423 has been chartered by BPOE (Elks) Lodge #423 in Chico California since 1963. Troop meetings are Monday evenings from 6:30 to 8:00. We strive to maintain a "Boy Run Troop" in keeping with the Aims, Methods and Principles of Scouting.

"Scouting is a game with a purpose"  quote by Sir Robert Baden Powell, founder of the Scouting Movement 1909.

Our "Annual Program" is designed by the Scouts themselves and offers a veritable smorgasbord of Outdoor Adventures, Scout Skills, Leadership Opportunities, Traditional Values and Community Service, all topped off with an "All You Can Eat" dessert bar of FUN!

In 2011 we logged 64 nights of camping, and a total of  748.5  hours of service to the community
almost doubling our
2010 record of 32 nights of camping and 352 hours of Community Service.

We invite you to come check us out. Drop by a regular Monday meeting or contact the Scoutmaster through this website by clicking the link at the top of this page.
