Please let a leader know if you do not use email. Volunteering and Family Participation Please fill out the Family Talent Survey Sheet. Every parent is expected to volunteer to help their son and fellow scouts. This can be on a full time basis as a leader, or on a part time basis such as a coordinator for a specific event. Parents are encouraged to attend all Cub Scout events and the entire family is encouraged to attend the pack meetings. Parents of Tigers (first grade) and Wolves (second grade) are required to attend all den and pack meetings. Fees Our pack dues this year are $80 per scout. This covers expenses for den and pack meetings, badges and awards, pinewood derby car, and handbook. It also pays for the neckerchief, neckerchief slide, Boys Life renewal, annual registration and insurance fee when the scouts advance at the end of the year. Pack 265 will supply the needed uniform patches as well. You may pay it all at once in September or $40 in September and $40 in January. Make all checks out to Pack 265. Dues will be prorated for those joining midyear. Popcorn We have one fundraiser each fall. If a scout sells $250, this will cover his $80 dues for the entire year. If a scout sells more than $250, the extra commission from his sales will go directly into his scout account and he can use this towards camp and other scout activities. Credit is given for organized sales at Kroger, OLG, etc. Uniforms Uniforms may be bought at the Scout shop. Scouts should wear their uniform to all scouting events, unless the leaders recommend casual clothes. In general, our scouts wear the shirt with all the appropriate patches, the neckerchief, and the neckerchief slide. Cap and uniform pants are optional.
