We are families that live mostly in Gresham/Portland. Our cubs attend the West Gresham and Hall Elementary Schools in the Gresham or Centenial District.
Cub Scout Pack 577 families are located primarily in Gresham area. We hold our pack and den meetings in and around the West Gresham and Hall Elementary Schools. Scouting is fun with a purpose, and the purpose is to raise boys who respect themselves and others, and who have strong character.
How we’re organized
Our pack is organized by dens. Each den has 4 to 8 boys of similar grade level. Dens are a great way to make and stay in touch with friends. Boys may join at any grade.
· 1st – graders are in Tigers
· 2nd – graders are in Wolves
· 3rd – graders are in Bears
· 4th-and 5th – graders are in Webelos
Our leadership is both mothers and fathers. Single parents and even grand parents are welcome.
Dens meet one or two afternoons a month; boys do activities toward requirements for achievement awards (see next panel). Parents usually take turns organizing the den meetings. Pack meetings are one evening a month, and feature award
