Troop 66 McDonough

Welcome to Troop 66 in McDonough.  We meet weekly at St. James Catholic Church on Tuesday Nights at 7pm.  All boys from 6th to 12th grade are welcome.

The Boy Scouts of America strives to instill in young people the principles of integrity, character, responsibility, and leadership –preparing them to make ethical and moral choices over their lifetimes.

We welcome all boys to our Troop.  Membership in Cub Scouts is not necessary.

Our leaders understand that well rounded boys become well rounded men, therefore we encourage their participation in other activities such as sports and extra-curricular activities.

Come and visit a Troop meeting.

We Can't Wait to Meet You!

We Are Part of The Flint River Council

Troop 66 is Part of the Flint River Council.  The Flint River Council is composed
of eight counties (Butts, Coweta, Fayette, Henry, Lamar, Pike, Spalding and Upson) and serves over 9,000 youth and adult volunteers.

The Council sponsors our annual Popcorn and Camp Card Fundraisers and owns the Gerald I. Lawhorn Scouting Base in Molena.

The Lawhorn Scouting Base is a 2,400 acre outdoor facility which Troop 66 uses for many camping events.  Older Scouts may attend High Adventure Camp or take advantage of the wilderness area.

Scouting is an Adventure

Scouting promises you the great outdoors. As a Scout, you can learn how to camp and hike without leaving a trace and how to take care of the land. You’ll study wildlife up close and learn about nature all around you. There are plenty of skills for you to master, and you can teach others what you have learned.
