Why Join?

Character Development

Boy Scouting is for boys who are 11, or are at least 10 years old and have completed the fifth grade or have earned the Cub Scout Arrow of Light Award, through 17 years old.

Boy Scouts will prepare your boys for life. Under the counsel of an adult Scoutmaster, they will develop character, discipline, leadership and personal fitness by participating in our vigorous outdoor and peer group leadership program. Just as important, your boys will have the time of their lives tackling adventure after adventure, with the friends they make.

Give your son a valuable gift by encouraging him to join Boy Scouting today. The time you invest in him today will make a difference in the person he becomes tomorrow.

AMERICA Is Returning To The Values SCOUTING Never Left!

Experiences that last a LIFETIME...

Boy Scouts prove themselves in an environment that challenges their courage and tests their nerve. After they've been given the proper guidance from those with experience and know-how, they take their own lead, going places they've never gone, seeing things they've never seen, and diving into the rugged world of outdoor adventure, relying on teamwork and character to accomplish what everyone else thinks is impossible.

Volunteers / Adults

Through volunteering with the Boy Scouts of America, you will work with youth to build a better future for our country. Scouting volunteers come to Scouting from a variety of backgrounds and experiences. People from just about every occupation imaginable are involved in leading youth to become responsible, caring, and competent citizens. You'll also discover that Scout volunteering will enable you to learn new skills and build lifelong friendships while giving back to your community.
