Class B's
The Class B (Activity) uniform consists of a Scouting-related or Pack T-Shirt and jeans or shorts.
Class B's are normally worn to non-formal pack events.
Class A's
Cub scouts are required to wear their Class A (Field) uniform to Pack meetings and formal Pack events.
(For Pack 1260 jeans or smart shorts are acceptable for Class A, so please do not purchase these specifically)
- Shirt—The official uniform shirt is available from the scout shop. (Blue for Tiger, Wolf & Bears, Tan for Webelos)
- Trousers or shorts— Any blue type pants or shorts will do fine, including jeans.
- Belt—The official navy-blue web belt with metal buckle is available from the scout shop.
- Socks— Official cub scout socks are not mandatory.
- Cap—There are official caps for Tiger, Wolf, Bear and Webelos Scouts. All are available from the scout shop
- Neckerchief—Each rank has its own triangular neckerchief. Official BSA neckerchiefs are the only neckerchiefs that boys should wear.
- Neckerchief slide—Official gold-tone metal slide with the Tiger Cub, Cub Scout, or Webelos Scout logo. Boys may wear handmade neckerchief slides.
Tigers, Wolves, Bears all wear the same blue colored shirt, but on progressing to Webelos a Tan colored shirt is needed.
Uniform Sleeve
Scout emblems are attached to the left and right sleeves of the Class A uniform. The top of the US Flag and the Circle 10 Council emblems should be right on the seem on the top of the sleeve. When Webelos they earn their activity pins these are added to the Weblos Ribbon attached to the the right hand sleeve.
Uniform Pocket
The cub scout World Crest Patch (purple patch with the scout symbol) goes above the left pocket, ensure you leave enough space so that the religious emblem patch can fit below it. Rank badges (Bobcat, Tiger, Wolf, Bear, Webelos) are placed on the left pocket of the uniform. The Webelos badge will be placed on the left pocket of the tan shirt by itself.
Rank badges are awarded to the scout at a pack meeting and are pinned inverted to the pocket with a "Mothers" pin. When the scout has carried out a good deed at home then the badge is sewn to the pocket the right way up. Mothers can then add the Mothers pin to a ribbon to show they have a cub scout.
The outdoor activity badge can be on the flap of the right pocket once earned, while the Progress Towards Ranks Totem should be hung from the button of the right shirt pocket. As the cub scout earns the beads at his den meeting that are added to bottom of the totem.
Cub or Webelo Patch Vest
Cub Scouts attending many of the Pack 1260 events will be awarded patches for activities that they have taken part in. These patches, such as fishing, camping, hiking can be placed on a Cub Scout Patch vest.
Sports and Academic Belt Loops
Cub scouts can earn belt loops for specific activities (Please see the awards section of this website). When earned these belt loops can be slid on to the cub scout belt.
Sports and Academic Pins
These awards are a level of award above belt loops for completing higher levels of achievement in Academics or Sports. The pins are awarded at pack meetings and can be attached to the Patch vest (they are not supposed to be attached to the uniform itself.
