What does the Committee Do??
At committee meetings, the group gathers to plan out the next month's pack theme and activities.  Each den gives a den report for the upcoming newsletter.  The treasurer gives his/her monthly expense report and collects any checks to be deposited and reimbursement receipts.  Activities are planned as a group and times/dates etc. are set.  Often we get updates from our local council about leader training and other statewide news.  In a nutshell, we brainstorm as a group to come up with new and fun ideas for our cubscouts.  Committee meetings are open to any parent who wishes to participate.  The meetings are held in the church lounge, typically on Wednesday evenings at 6:30.  This is a child-free event.  Bring your own coffee.

Parent Volunteers and New Den Leaders!

We are always looking for parent volunteers!  If you would like to help in any way, please contact your den leader.  If you have any special talent or skill that you think would be beneficial in a scouting environment we would like to hear about it!

All leaders must complete the BSA Youth Protection training within 30 days of registering to be a leader.  The BSA has now made it very easy and the training can be done online!  All you need to do is go to www.myscouting.org and create a user ID and password.   Once you are registered you can click on Cub Scout Youth Protection.  Print out a copy of your completed certification and submit it to the cubmaster.
