What is a court of honor?

A court of honor is a formal ceremony Where scouts are given awards, merit badges, and rank advancements for certain things they do in the troop. Its is also when at the end of popcorn season, prizes are given to scouts that earned enough money from selling popcorn. During this ceremony, the MC (master of ceremony) will bring the scouts up and give them the awards that they have earned. The scouts will also give a brief summary about the awards they have earned. At the begging of the ceremony, one patrol will post the flags, and at the end of the meeting, the same patrol will retire the flags. Once all scouts have been given their awards, the MC will bring up upcoming announcements. The court of honor will not be like our other meetings and will only be once every couple of months. The next meeting will be like any of our other meetings.
