Many people think you can only be a teen Girl Scout if you have been a Girl Scout since you were little. And that not true! Come and check out what the new Scouting program is all about. Our girls are working on the National Leadership Awards: Silver and Gold, as well as, National Proficiency Badges. Girls discover new skills and dig deeper into topics they're already interested in. Using these newly developed skills they connect with others such as environmental groups, local government officials, or nonprofit organizations and create a "take action" activity which helps make the world a better place.

We meet about twice a month in a formal meeting space and participate in a wide variety of activities. New members are welcomed. The only requirement is to pay the membership fees of $15.00 and accept the Girl Scout Promise and Laws. Contact the Troop Leader  (see link above) to determine the best date to visit. After two visits, you may become an official Girl Scout and complete the membership forms. To reduce the financial burdens on a family, every member, on occasion, is encouraged to commit to fundraising activities. These activites off set the cost of attending activities, events or trips.

We encourage and expect families to assist the scouts as they progress through the scouting activties throughout the year. We have a number of positions in the troop which are required for the troop to be an active and successful.
