Scouting for Food Reminder

On February 8, 2014, the Middle Tennessee Council will hold the Scouting for Food service project. Scouts and leaders from across the council will be asked to collect food for Second Harvest Food Bank and its affiliates, located locally throughout the council. Click here to see more information.

Klondike Derby Registration Online
The fourth annual Klondike Derby is just around the corner, slated for February 14-16th at Latimer High Adventure Reservation. Venturers and Sea Scouts will put their Scouting skills to work in the field to demonstrate teamwork and Scout spirit, and to have fun outdoors in the winter! Click here for more info, registration and to download Leaders Guide. Deadline for registration is January 31, 2014.

2014 Camp Card Sale

The Middle Tennessee Council will be offering a spring opportunity for your Scouts to earn money for the summer camping program! Between March 1st and April 18th, your unit can sell Camp Cards for just $5.00 and keep 50% ($2.50) of the profit. Talk to your unit leader to get signed up to participate! Eagle Scout Volunteer Recognition Reception

We are excited to announce that 394 Scouts achieved the Eagle Scout rank in 2013! Wow, that is 38 more than 2012! These Scouts will be recognized at the annual banquet at Lipscomb University on Sunday, April 27th. If you are one of these Scouts, please make sure to register and send in a photo!

Trail Master Certification Course - March 27-30, 2014
Calling all trail builders wanting certification - The Tennessee Greenways and Trail Council wants trails to be safe and well-built to assure low maintenance, sustainability, and enjoyment by all who use them. Certified trail builders can achieve those goals under the instruction of internationally respected Mike Riter, owner of Trail Design Specialists.

Save time and hassle, eliminate uncertainty and first day disappointment! Get all your Scouts classified for BSA Aquatics before the outdoor season begins. No cost or registration needed. Unit Key 3 members can also update and check status of youth protection and position training using the new myscouting tools feature.

  • Functionality is now available at the district level for district Key 3 members to download the Trained Leaders Report and the YPT Aging Report.
  • Unit and district Key 3 members can now generate and view an “exception” report that lists only those members who are not position-trained, and those whose YPT have expired or never taken simply by clicking in the red areas on the Trained Leaders or YPT pie charts.
