What does my son get from scouting?

Your son will be taught the core values of Scouting,
including building character, improving
 physical fitness, teaching practical skills, camping opportunities
 and developing a spirit of community service.

What do I need to do as a parent?

Participate with your son in attending the Pack meetings.
Attend Den meetings with your son.
Contact appropriate den leader for meeting times and locations.

Can I volunteer to help the Pack or Den?

Yes. The leadership of the pack is all volunteer,
mostly parents who recieve training from BSA.
There are several opportunities for parents to help at
functions or get into leadership roles.

What is the cost of Scouting?

The annual registration is $50.00. That will take care
of the national registration, all awards your Scout
earns throughout the year, a pinewood derby
 kit and his Scout book.

What does my son need to start?

After attending a few meetings he will need a Scout
uniform shirt and a few patches
available at the Calumet Council Scout Shop in Munster.
You can contact us above or come to one of our
 Pack events and we can get him signed up.

Who attends Pack 512?

Most of our Scouts come from Peifer and Homan
Elementary School's  along with Clark and Grimmer
Middle School's. You do not have to attend these
school's to participate in our Pack.
