It's never too late to join Cub Scouts!
If you have a boy in 1st through 5th grade, you can always sign up for Cub Scouts. Questions? Read on, or click "Contact Our Pack" above to ask us.
When and where do we meet?
September to June - We meet every Tuesday at 6:30pm during the regular school year at Echo Hills Elementary. If school is closed on a particular Tuesday (holiday, bad weather, etc), then there is no meeting that night.
June to August - We do not hold regular Den or Pack meetings in the summer, however, we schedule a number of Pack events, such as Cub Scout Day Camp, Webelos Resident Camp, Akron Rubberducks Scout Night, Fishing, Biking and Swimming. If it is summertime and you are interested in joining, or coming to one of our summertime events, click on "Contact Our Pack" above and send us a message. We will send you the summer events schedule.
Who can join?
Any boy in the 1st through 5th grade. Most of our members attend Echo Hills Elementary, but any boy in the Stow area can join!
What does it cost?
First time registration is only $35.00!! When you register, you get your Scout Handbook and Scout Class B Uniform (T-Shirt). If you want to subscribe to Boys Life magazine, the price is prorated at $6.00 if you are joining in September. Annual Boys Life subscription (February to February) is $12.00
Annual dues for Pack 3158 are $65.00 and are due in January each year. Your annual dues and our Pack Fundraiser cover the costs of Annual registration with the Boy Scouts of America (BSA), BSA Insurance, Scout Handbook, Pack T-Shirt (Class B Uniform), Award and Recognition patches, beltloops, pins, Pinewood Derby Car, and the Spring Blue and Gold Awards Banquet.
Scouts can earn money toward their annual dues, campout fees and summer camp by selling Popcorn during the annual Popcorn Fundraiser, thereby lowering or paying for these other expenses.
Where can I signup?
Come to our 2016 School Night to Join Scouting. Echo Hills Open House on August xx, 2016 at 6:00pm OR our Pack Meeting on Tuesday September 6, 2016 at 6:30pm. Bring the whole family! Get answers to all your Scouting questions and register your son.
Any other time, you can still join by coming to Echo Hills at 6:30pm on any Tuesday that School is in session. Come see the Pack in action, ask questions, and register. For questions or more information, click on "Contact Our Pack" at the top of this page to send us a message.
Parent Volunteers Needed
We need your help!
For the 2016-2017 Scouting Year we need a Tiger Den Leader (1st Graders), a Committee Chair and other Parent Helpers. No experience necessary. There are Leader Trainings, and Leader Guides to help you. And, since every Den meets at the same time and the same place, there is always another adult around to help.
