Fall 2013 activities & meetings

The following list is our tentative plan for Fall 2013 -- the events will be updated as dates firm up.

Cadette kickoff event at Clay Dreams - Saturday, September 14 from 3 - 5 PM

Calling all girls in grades 6-8 interested in learning more about opportunities in Girl Scouting.  Each girl will have the opportunity to paint their own ceramic piece while learning about the various troop and activity options open to all middle school girls in Winchester.   Bring a friend - girls do not have to be registered Girl Scouts to attend.  $15 will cover the cost of one object and a snack.  Afternoon is limited to 25 girls -- email troop77025@gmail.com to reserve your spot.

Troop 77025 kickoff brainstorm meeting - September 25th from 6.30 - 8.30 PM in the First Baptist Church social hall

The meeting will be at the Winchester First Baptist Church, which is at 90 Mt. Vernon St -- enter in the back door on the corner of Mt Vernon and Elm St.  The meeting is open to all 6th - 8th grade girls, including those who bridged up over the summer from Juniors & girls who have not previously been in Girl Scouts.  At the meeting, we'll brainstorm what activities to do such as working with younger troops, camping, rock-climbing, and service activities.  If there is enough interest, we'll also plan & take a longer trip in the summer to a location that the girls pick together.  Girls may choose to participate in one, two, or all of the activities sponsored by the troop, so come and let your voice be heard.  The troop will be what you decide it will be.  There will be no cost for this meeting.  Girls are encouraged to bring a friend with them.  If you have questions or to learn more, please contact troop77025@gmail.com

FAN babysitter meet n' greet - Tuesday, October 8 from 7 - 8 PM in the Large Meeting Room of the Public Library

Interested to meeting new potential clients?  Excited to work with children?  Come to the Family Action Network babysitter meet n' greet.  FAN parents will be present to interview and chat the new potential babysitters and mother's helpers.  Girls may want to bring cards / flyers with them that include their name & contact information -- inclusion of grade, what area of town they live in, qualifications, general hours available, type of position looking for would also be appropriate.  To RSVP, ask questions or to learn more, please contact troop77025@gmail.com.
