As one of the oldest troops in the area, Troop 61 has the experience to turn young men into leaders and Eagles!
Troop 61 was started in January, 1925 and we have served scouts in the area continuously ever since. When we moved from Missouri to Kansas we had to add 10 onto our number. However, we are still known as Troop 61!
We are a boy-lead troop and follow the patrol method of scouting. The three core principles of Troop 61 are Leadership, Outdoors and Community Service (LOC).
Troop 61 is large enough to meet the needs of every scout but small enough to know the name of every scout and their family. We have a very dedicated group of adult leaders that will ensure your son will have the very best scouting experience in the area.
