Istrouma Area Council Policy
on
Youth Protection Training
The Executive Committee of the Istrouma Area Council Board voted on May 18, 2015 to adopt the following policy:
Adult Volunteers are required to submit the registration form, evidence of completion of Youth Protection Training and applicable fees in order for the registration to be accepted and processed.
This differs from what is stated on the preprinted registration form. The form indicates there is a 30 day grace period for the youth protection training.
Effective June 1, 2015, all adults registering, changing position or registering in multiply units MUST provide either a Youth Protection Training Certificate or current proof that they have taken the online Youth Protection Training. Youth Protection training is good for two years from the date it is taken.
You can take the online Youth Protection by going to MyScouting.org.
