Our troop formed in September 2014. Several of us went to a meeting because we had received a flyer in our daughter's take home folder. Upon attending the meeting, we found their was only one troop in Mustang and they had a waiting list for membership. Five of us moms were sitting together and as we inquired about how to form a troop, one of our moms said she would be a troop leader but wanted to make it a multi-level troop as she had two daughters interested in becoming a girl scout. Well to make a long story short, several other mothers stepped to become co-leaders and active members of our troop.
Our troop initially started out with just Daisies and Brownies. This September 2015 some of our girls will be bridging. With that, we will have a few that will become Juniors. Because we love this group of girls, we want them to stay together. Therefore, we are adding juniors. We are very excited for the future of this troop. Not only have the girls grown, we as mothers have grown with them.
