On-Line Training
To be fully trained and earn the Trained Leader emblem, a new leader must complete basic training in the following order:
Youth Protection Training: New leaders are required to take Youth Protection training before submitting an application for registration. The certificate of completion for this training must be submitted at the time the application is made and before volunteer service with youth begins. Youth Protection Training must be completed every two years to remain current.
Fast Start Training: for their volunteer position
Leader Position-Specific Training: Fully trained leaders changing leadership roles should take the Leader Position-Specific Training for their new position.
Committee Members must complete all of the above requirements with Pack Committee Specific in place of Leader Position-Specific.
There are also many supplemental trainings that you can take such as safe swim defense, weather hazards, etc.

Leader Basic "Live & In-Person" Training
What is it?
All Cub Scout Leaders must complete Youth Protection, This is Scouting, and Cub Scout Leader Position Specific Training to become a Trained Leader. Position SpecificTraining will be offered for Cubmasters, Committee Members, Tiger Den Leaders, Den Leaders, Webelos Den Leaders and all assistant leaders. This training is a one stop shopping experience that will give you the hands on tools for success. The trainers do a great job and really get you pumped up to lead the boys.
BALOO Training
What is it?
This energetic training is designed to inform Cub Scout Leaders on how to plan and run a
pack overnight campout. It's more than just camping, the training includes ideas for
outdoor activities, games, ceremonies, selecting and using camping equipment, how to
run a campfire program, and hands-on Cub Scout cooking demonstration!
Why?
The Boy Scouts of America has made a number of changes to the camping policies for
Tigers, Cub Scouts, and Webelos. Besides participating in council camps (day camp,
resident camp), packs may organize overnight campouts for boys and their families.
Adults leading a pack overnighter must attend BALOO training in order to be issued a
tour permit.

What is Wood Badge for the 21st Century?
The Wood Badge for the 21st Century experience is training for adult leaders from all scouting programs. It provides participants with firsthand knowledge regarding how teams develop and achieve excellence. Participants take part in an active learning process through involvement in planning, development, presentation and assessment. Participants will enjoy a world-class learning experience that will strengthen their long-term commitment to Scouting and provide them with valuable leadership skills.
Wood Badge is a series of fun and educational weekend training activities that develop you into a better Scout leader. There is some physical challenge involved, but nothing that should keep anyone from attending this great opportunity. The time constraints are tight, but only because we jam so many great training activities into the weekends. Some of the activities covered are:

Have you heard....Adult volunteers can earn patches too. BSA has recognition patches you can earn for serving in a leadership position. All the requirements / details can be found in the downloads below.
Tiger Den Leaders, Cub Scout Den Leaders, Webelos Den Leaders, Cubmasters, Assistant Leaders, Pack Trainer and all registered Committee Members are eligible to participate.
