The Cub Scout Uniform
The Cub Scout uniform begins with a blue shirt (for Tiger, Wolf & Bear rank)...
And a choice of a blue shirt or a tan shirt for a Webelos.
Then you’ll need to add a few patches.
The first is the purple Scouting World Crest Emblem which is placed over the left pocket.
Next, you’ll need the Bay Lakes Council patch. This patch goes on the left shoulder.
Then you’ll need the pack’s number (3763). These number patches go on the left shoulder below the council patch. They look like the patches below.
The placement of these patches can also be found inside each rank's handbook.
The only thing left is a belt, which is optional, (to put all the beltloops that your son will earn), a neckercheif and a slide (to identify your son's rank in scouting). A matching hat is also optional.
1st Grade scouts wear the orange Tiger neckercheif.
2nd Grade scouts wear the yellow Wolf neckercheif.
3rd Grade scouts wear the blue Bear neckercheif.
4th and 5th Grade scouts wear the plaid Webelos neckercheif.
You’re all set! Your son is ready to earn the rest of the patches that will go on his uniform.
