  • Who’s eligible to join Cub Scout Pack 468?
    • Any boy in 1st through 5th grade (or 7-10 years old) can join our Pack, without regard to where he lives or goes to school.
  • When can I join Scouts?
    • Most boys join Cub Scouts for the first time during the annual registration Rally held at the beginning of the school year, but you can join at any time!
  • How do I become a member of Cub Scout Pack 468?
    • Come to our annual Back to School night in September, come visit us at a monthly pack meeting (click on Pack Calendar at the bottom of this page), or simply go to the Contact the Pack link at the bottom of this page and submit a Comment with a request to join our Pack. Someone will get back in touch with you within 24 hours.
  • How much does it cost to join Pack 468?
    • We currently charge $75 for the annual program which covers participantation in all pack events. Some additional, but optional, trips are scheduled each year which may have additional costs.
  • When are registration fees due?
    • Current members are urged to pay at our first pack meeting. Transfers and new members pay at the time of joining our pack; however, if a hardship exists, exceptions can be made. Simply talk to a representative of our pack during registration or go to the Contact Us link and let us know how we can help you become a member of our pack.
  • How often are registration fees due?
    • Annually, but our Scouting year begins in September and ends in August, so registration fees are good for that period of time only, no matter when you join. For example, if you join in June, your registration will still end in August along with everyone else’s but the annual registration will be prorated.
  • When, where, and how often are Den meetings held?
    • Den meetings are usually held on a date and time agreed upon by members of the den at the Den Leader’s home or other location such as Middlebrook School from September through May. Dens typically hold one or two den meetings a month which lasts approximately one hour.
  • When, where, and how often are Pack meetings held?
    • Pack meetings are held once a month. Since the activities change from month to month, the location and time varies. An annual calendar is provided which shows all the meeting details.
  • What are the uniform requirements?
    • We require every Scout in Pack 468 to wear the official uniform for their rank to all den and pack events, but only from the waist up. Official pants, shorts, and socks are not required. That means that Tigers only need a shirt and cap, and all other ranks need a belt, shirt, neckerchief, slide, and cap. You will also need to supply a couple of patches but we will let you know what is required. NOTE TO PARENTS: If your son is a Wolf, try to buy a belt and shirt that will fit for two years, since Bears wear the same uniform.
  • What else do I need?
    • In addition to a uniform, you’ll also need to get a Cub Scout Book for your son’s rank (Tiger, Wolf, Bear, or Webelos) if you don’t already have one.
  • If I buy the wrong supplies, can I return them?
    • Definitely! All Scout shops allow you to return undamaged merchandise for exchange or refund within 30 days.
  • Where can I buy my uniform and other Scout supplies?
    • At any official Scout shop. The nearest one is in Milford right off Rt 15.
  • When do Scouts receive awards?
    • Awards are presented at all pack meetings. Pack meeting are held during the school year.
  • Can I join the same den as my friend(s)?
    • Certainly, as long as you are all the same rank and the den is not full. We try to keep dens limited to 8 or fewer Scouts, but exceptions can be made by an individual den leader.
  • How will I know which den I belong to?
    • Shortly after registration, new den leaders are selected. Your new den leader will contact you in September or within a week or two after you join our pack.
