In the 11/3 joint Den Meeting with the Wolf Scouts, the Bear Scouts completed the following requirements in the Bear Trail:
16c - Scouts participated in individual 30-yard dash races, as well as team crab, kangaroo, and gorilla relays.
3a - Each scout talked briefly about what makes America special to him.
3b - Each scout named a famous American and what that person has done to help this country.
3j - Character Connection for Citizenship
As a homework assignment, the Scouts were each assigned a state. For next week's Den Meeting, each Scout should write down the following information about his state:
- State Bird
- State Tree
- State Flower
- Date Admitted into the Union
Scouts are also encouraged to add any additional information they may find interesting. This assignment will fulfill requirement 3e, which will complete Achievment 3 of the Bear Trail for all Bear Scouts.
We also discussed respect and care of the U.S. flag, which is a requirement for the Wolf Scouts, but also good knowledge for Scouts of any level.
All achievements have been documented in ScoutTrack (http://www.scouttrack.com). If you do not have a ScoutTrack login, please contact Jon Trexler at jonkristin@rcn.com.
We also went over the requirements for the Bobcat Badge.
I am proud to say that we had perfect attendance tonight from the Bears, with almost all of them in the appropriate Class A uniforms. Great to see all of you there tonight!
The next Den Meeting will be on 11/10.
