CUB SCOUT PACK 102

  1. What does it cost a boy to join Pack 102?

For those joining in September, the fees are as follows:

First 17 months (Tigers only) Annual

Registration $14.00       $10.00

Pack Fee     $26.00       $20.00

Total          $40.00      $30.00

Boy's Life < $12.00 for 12 issues (ask for card)

For boys joining in September, the fees include those for the rest of this year and all of next. Boys transferring in or continuing on will pay $30.00 in December for the 2011 year, which runs from February 1, 2010 through January 31, 2011. The Boy's Life subscription is optional, but highly recommended.

In addition to the registration fees, the boys are expected to obtain a complete uniform. The official uniform pants are optional, as the pack has adopted blue jeans as an alternative. There are optional special activities during the year, such as summer camp, a December activity, and possibly others that require a fee. The largest is summer camp, which is about $160, and is collected in installments beginning about December. Those wanting to, can pay the full fee in December. We can also assist parents/scouts that want to attend summer camp, but can not afford it through a Council grant.

Character ConnectionsTM

Character Connections

The goals of the Cub Scout leader are

  • to seek out and maximize the many opportunities to incorporate character development
  • to convince the young Cub Scout that character is important to the individual, to his family, community, country, world, and God

Character development should not be viewed as something done occasionally as part of a separate program, or as part of only one area of life. For in reality, character development is a part of everything a Cub Scout does. Character development lessons can be found in every aspect of the Cub Scouting experience.

When it comes to developing character, the complete person must be considered. Character development involves at least three critical areas:

  1. Know (thought)
  2. Commit (feeling)
  3. Practice (behavior)
