A LITTLE ABOUT US...

We're a very active Scout Pack located in Forest City, PA.  We meet every Wednesday evening and occasionally on an additional day during the week, from September through May.  In the summer months, we meet between one and three times per month and we encourage our Scouts to attend Scout Camp. 


Plans for spring/summer include: Camping at Camp Acahela (which includes archery, BB rifle range, swimming, fishing, rocketry, obstacle course, sports, games, campfires, Scout skills, nature activities and much more,) Pack Overnight Camping which includes swimming, mini-golf, sports, games, outdoor cooking/Scout skills and more, Llama Farm field trip, Webelo camping with Boy Scouts, blueberry picking @ Herrick Hill Huckleberry Farm, Campover @ PNC Field/Scout Night with the S/WB Yankees, District Pinewood Derby, Volleyball Challenge, Beach Day @ Merli Sarnowski Park/lake with picnic lunch, 'Scouting for Food' community service food drive, Pennies for the Planet Wildlife Conservation Project sponsored by Audubon Society, Kennedy Park clean up project, Fishing Derby, Webelo Woods Camping Trip @ Goose Pond Scout Reservation and much more!

Plans for fall include (but are not limited to): Basketball Day with the PACERS basketball team at Marywood University, Citizenship Night, trip to WNEP TV, Harvestfest @ Camp Acahela, 'Scouting for Food' community food drive service project, Trails End popcorn fundraiser and much more.

Plans for winter will include Snowtubing/Skiing/Snowboarding field trip, Scout Sunday, Cub Scout Winter Fun Day, Pack 419 Pinewood Derby, Swimming at the YMCA Pool, Bowling at Valley Lanes, Webelo Swim Meet, Blue and Gold Banquet/Crossover, Movie Night, Chess Night, Library Field Trip, Craft Project, and more.

Possible Field Trips may also include: Firehouse, Library, Glass Making Factory, Candle Making Store, Pretzel Making Store, Candy Factory, Geocaching Adventure, Veterinary Hospital, maple syrup farm, Indian Echo Caverns, H2O Water Park @ Split Rock, Field Trip to PEEC (Pocono Environmental Education Center,)  and more.  A Scout with Pack 419 will also sing Cub Scout songs, perform skits, learn Scout skills, tie knots, learn about nature and wildlife conservation, participate in community service projects and strive to become good citizens in our community.

We are actively recruiting a Tiger Cub Leader, Bear Den Leader, Assistant Den Leaders and Assistant Cubmaster for the 2013-2014 Scouting year.  We are also recruiting for the following Committee positions: Fundraiser Coordinator (Popcorn Kernel,) Advancement Coordinator, and a Pack Trainer.  Training will be provided free of charge.
