Troop 915's Public Page

Troop 915 has a long and rich history in the Canal Fulton Community.  Our Troop was the second chartered Troop to the Massillon Area Scout Council in September 1921 and started functioning in 1922. With over 90 years of continuous service, Troop 915 is possibly the oldest still functioning chartered Troop in the Buckeye Council.

The Troop has approximately 21 Youth and 17 Adults.  Many of the Adults are Committee Members still serving long after their Scouts have moved on in life.

We also operate in 2 Patrols, with a 3rd Patrol formed for older scouts to take High Adventure Trips.

The Patrol Method: the way Lord Robert Baden-Powell intended scouting to be!

Troop 915 strives to be a "boy run" troop. The Patrol Leaders Council (PLC) sets the agenda for meetings, camp trips, and any other activities the troop wants to participate in.

The PLC consists of the following youth positions:
Senior Patrol Leader – SPL
Assistant Patrol Leader – ASPL
Patrol Leaders – PL
Assistant Patrol Leaders – APL

The Scouts make all the decisions regarding camp trips, troop activities, fundraisers, high adventure, and discipline. The Scoutmaster, Assistant Scoutmaster and Troop Committee guarantee that that their decisions are both sound and fair. Adults are there to be a resource and not run the troop.

For more information on Troop 915 you can e-mail our Scoutmaster,

Matthew Moellendick, at matthew(dot)moellendick (at) gmail(dot)com for a pdf copy of our informational pamphlet.

We are an Active Troop - keeping the "outing" in scouting!

To accommodate the schedules of busy families and even busier boys,
our regularly scheduled, weekly troop meetings are:
Sundays at 3:45-5:30pm
Trinity United Church of Christ
8101 Manchester Road

Exceptions are if we are camping.  And speaking of Camping, we make every attempt to go camping monthly, year-round.
