The entire community benefits from these boys
as they learn how to become active citizens
and help others.

The scouts and leaders of Troop 777 have been busy serving their community. In April, the troop cooked for the Wounded Warriors Day that was held at the Soundside Park. It was a beautiful day and an opportunity for our troop to appreciate those that gave so much for our freedom. In June, we cooked hot dogs and hamburgers for the Christian Bikers that performed the service at church. We served the church members and these honored guests. We also cooked and served over 300 senior citizens at the C-Salt Rally in June. We were very happy to give a little back to those that are so treasured by all of us in their wisdom and lives. Also in June, we camped at the State Park - Cliff's of the Neuse in Wayne County. It was our pleasure to build a split rail fence on top of the cliff to protect others from a dangerous area. It was quiet a haul for the rails to be carried about a quarter of a mile up to the top. This troop made it fun and completed the fence of 15 sections in 4 hours and hot weather. July brought our second trip to Moore's Creek State Park for service. This time our troop participated with Troop 235 in building a designated scout camping area.

Other service includes:
Food was collected for a local food bank, flags brought in for the 4th of July church service, flags presented at the Elk's Lodge in honor of veterans.

Service with a smile...in hot weather, cold weather, red bugs and ticks...we deliver, we serve, we support our community.
