Come Join Cub Scout, Boy Scout, Venturing and Varsity leaders at the Three Fires Council’s premier adult training event – The 2014 Training Academy.  This year’s event will be held on Saturday, November 8, 2014.  Pick 5 courses to take for the day and learn more through the sharing of Scouting knowledge and ideas.  Also offered for the day will be Order of the Arrow Lodge Leadership Development and a Brotherhood conversion opportunity.  Boy Scout youth can become trained as a Den Chief or Senior Patrol Leader.  SAVE THE DATE FLIER

There will be a Vendor Midway full of business professionals displaying the products, locations and services that can be used to support the Scouting Program.  The day’s events run from 7:30am to 4:00pm and will be held at East Aurora High School at 500 Tomcat Lane in Aurora.  Registration will be open on the Three Fires Council website in August.  Please consider attending this event.  It will be an opportunity to further your Scouting knowledge and learn something to take back to your unit.

When: Tue., Dec 30, 2014, Fri. Jan 2, 2015 or Sat. Jan 3, 2015
Time: 8:30 AM to 4:00 PM
Where: Camp Big Timber, 37W955 Big Timber Road, Elgin, IL

Cost: Early Bird Price – On or after - Scouts $ each / Adults $ each

Regular Price – On or after - Scouts $ each / Adults $ each

Registration is limited to 200 Scouts each session (first come basis). Sessions fill up so register early. Cost includes lunch, patch, & hot chocolate/coffee.
SnowflakesRequirements: Same as Day Camp, minimum of 2 adults per group and 1 adult for every 5 Scouts above 10. A current Annual Health & Medical Record (sections A & B) is needed for all participants! A roster of participants for each Pack is required (see website).

PRE-REGISTRATION & Payment IS REQUIRED (register early this program will fill up) No WALK-IN REGISTRATIONS OR PAYMENTS!! Reservations must be cancelled in writing at least 1 week before the event to be considered for a refund.

Please try to car pool if possible – with snow on the ground parking is very limited!

What to Bring: / Warm coat / Snow pants / Extra mittens and/or gloves / Boots / Hat / Scarf / Extra socks / Water bottle / Money for trading post / Health forms if you have not already turned them in. Remember this is a winter event and parking at Camp Big Timber may be limited due to snow or muddy conditions. Please try to carpool with your unit.

Schedule for the day:
7:45am Registration starts in K-Lodge
8:30am Opening Ceremonies
8:45am – 3:20pm Program areas
3:30pm Closing Ceremonies

After closing a representative from your Pack can pick up your Pack’s health forms and patches in K-Lodge. Please note that program areas may change due to weather conditions and circumstances beyond our control. A list of possible achievements that may have been met at this event will be available after camp when you pick up your packet.
