Pack Dues are $65 a year, per Scout. The dues are paid over a 10 month period (August - May) and are to be paid at the Pack Meeting. This reduces the burden from a single $65 payment to $6.50 a month.
So what do my Pack Dues pay for? Pack Dues help to cover our basic expenses for the
year. Pack Dues paid buy your son to
his Den Leader go towards his next rank handbook, neckerchief, and
neckerchief slide for graduation. The Pack Dues cover
the cost of materials used for crafts at Den Meetings, and can go towards field trip
entrance fees as well. Your son's Pack Dues also allows the Pack Leadership to set
aside money for special awards that they can earn such as the STEM/NOVA, Cub Scout Outdoor Activity Award, Pack and Den Summertime Awards, etc.

This is for a basic year, with profits from popcorn sales and other
fundraisers making up the difference.
Your son's Pack Dues are not meant to pay for everything, such as
camping equipment, parade items, large field trips, or the Blue and Gold
Banquet. Thus, we have to have fundraisers and the more money we make
the bigger and better our year should be. However, without the Pack Dues, we cannot
function as a Pack and it becomes very difficult to carry out our week to week goals.
Recharter in January: Our organization Recharters (renews membership with BSA) by December 31st, and we collect recharter monies (if needed) at the December Pack Meeting/Christmas Party. This money is your son’s membership renewal for the upcoming year and the fee is currently $24.00 per boy. If you wish to subscribe or renew your subscription to Boys’ Life Magazine for another year ($12) then the membership renewal fee will be $36. Leaders, Committee Members, and the Charter Organization Representative must also renew their BSA Membership at this time and their membership fee is also $24.00 per year.
