Brownies 2012-2013 agenda.doc Brownie Agenda 2012-2013

Welcome Brownie Scouts and Parents

Our Brownies are going on an amazing Quest of self discovery, team building and adventure! We will complete many  badges and the first of our Journey Books. The Brownies will get out to see and change the world around them. Many of our adventures will be alongside the Daisies in our Troop which will provide our Brownies an opportunity to mentor our Daisies and learn from them as well.

I am Angela Buelow, the troop leader. Working beside me is returning co-leader Angela Martinez. I will be the point of contact for the Brownie parents. We will plan meetings and outings together to ensure every girl is growing her leadership skills and developing friendships while earning awards along the way.

Your Girl Scout will need a Brownie Quest one of the Brownie Journey books to begin the year.

Brownie Quest
What are the most important keys for a Girl Scout to own? This quest, which has second- and third-graders traveling along two colorful trails—one they can enjoy on their own and one they explore with their Girl Scout group—answers that question in a very special way. Along the Quest, Girl Scout Brownies will meet three new friends and a bright and shining elf—in a brand-new Brownie story meant to inspire their own Take Action Projects. The accompanying adult guide offers all the tips needed to create and maintain a sense of fun and mystery along the entire Quest. Instructions for a Brownie Brainstorm, Brownie Team Trade, and other activities ensure a quality and fun time for the girls.

There is a vest and a sash option for the brownie uniform. I would encourage you to buy the vest rather than the sash because it will hold more badges. The girls are encouraged to wear the brownie uniform meetings and on outings unless otherwise stated for a specific event.
