What is University of Scouting?
The University of Scouting is a one-day leader-training program designed to provide ideas and resources in areas to benefit you and your unit. The University of Scouting is offered once a year to assist all Scout volunteers in their Scouting positions. The day includes courses for each type of Unit and courses of general interest to all attendees.
Who attends the University of Scouting?
All Scout Leaders (Cub Scout, Boy Scout; Venturing; District, Council, and all Scout Volunteers). General courses are offered as well as courses for specific units and positions. You do not have to be a registered Leader to participate.
What will I do at University of Scouting?
You will enroll in courses on a wide variety of Scouting topics. Also, a MIDWAY will be offered with many great ideas presented by outside sponsors. Each of these experiences will help prepare you to provide a quality program for Scouting youth. Cub Scout Leader Specific, Troop Committee Challenge, Charter Organization Representative, Venturing Leader Specific, Religious Awards, and Merit Badge Orientation training classes will be offered as well!
University of Scouting is for adult leaders only. Only youth participating in specific events are permitted.
