Cub Scout Camping

Camping at the Cub Scout level is a family event. As Cub Scouts, the boys are not allowed to camp without parent or guardian. Pack 437 holds an annual Pack campout, there is a District Camp Out at Sherrif's youth ranch and there are several overnight camping opportunities at Camp La-No-Che in Paisley. In all Cub Scout camping events, each camper is responsible for bring all of their own camping supplies and food unless otherwise specified in advance by the campout organizer.

Scout Sunday

A Scout is Reverent! Scout Sunday is scheduled for February 2th and is just one of the ways Pack 437 serves the community. We invite all our scouts to participate at the 9:00AM Mass at Santa Maria del Mar, Catholic Church. We will assist our community as we greet the parishioners and distribute bulletins. After the Mass we will enjoy coffee and donuts in the church hall. Scouts are expected to arrive by 8:15 wearing their class A uniform. Please leave hats at home or in the car.

Pinewood Derby

Pinewood Derby will probably be our largest event of the year. Only Pinewood Derby kits from the BSA will qualify to participate in this event. No exceptions. Kits will be available during the pack meetings months before the event.  The Scout is expected to build this car with minimal assistance from adults.

The Blue and Gold Banquet

The Blue and Gold Banquet serves several purposes. Blue and Gold has become synonymous with celebrating the birthday of Scouting, but it also signifies the point in which a Webelo II Scout crosses out of Cub Scouts and into Boy Scouts. This is a big achievement in a Scout’s journey and we recognize it as such. The Blue and Gold Banquet is a potluck dinner celebration that we hold in honor of the Scout’s achievements and in honor of Scouting itself. This event will take place in Feb

We have started a new tradition at pack 437.  Blue and Gold  is a time to explore cultural diversity in scouting. Each den chooses a different cultural and has a presentation and serves traditional meals from different parts of the world.

Cub Scout Day Camp

Cub Scout Day Camp is a District sponsored event which is held after school releases for the summer break. Dates, times, locations and prices will be announced later during the Scouting year. Day Camp is a wonderful opportunity for the boys to earn many of the advancement Beltloops for their collection.
